I was excited to go to the opera, but the parking situation was a mess. We drove around forever trying to find a spot, then ended up paying way too much when we finally did. It kinda killed the vibe before we even got inside. Cool idea for a night out, but nah, the hassle wasn’t worth it for me.

The show itself was fine, so I don’t really have complaints there. But trying to get help afterward was frustrating. Customer service took a long time to reply, it kind of felt like my issue wasn’t being taken that seriously. I don’t want to make it sound worse than it was, but the support side definitely didn’t leave the best impression.

Went in expecting a little more from Seattle Opera. Some of the sets looked really nice, but a few scenes felt kind of plain, and the lighting seemed uneven from where I was sitting. Costumes were decent, though. Not a bad production overall, just didn’t quite wow me.

I’m not sure what was going on, but the orchestra sounded off pretty much the entire night. Wrong notes, weird timing, just all over the place. For what I expected, what a joke

I was just trying to buy tickets, but the whole site felt so clunky and annoying!!! Pages were loading all weird, and I kept losing track of where I was!!! After messing with it for a while, I just gave up!!!

I was expecting a bit more, but the class felt really rushed, and, as a beginner, I found it kind of confusing. It just didn’t feel like there was enough time to really understand things, before moving on...

I was able to buy my tickets and got the seats I wanted in the end, so that was the main thing. The checkout process felt a little slow and confusing though, and I had to take my time to make sure everything went through correctly. It reminded me that even a slightly clunky process is manageable when the end result is worth it.

Getting there by bus was more annoying than I expected. The options felt limited and inconvenient, and it just didn’t feel worth the hassle. After dealing with that, I don’t really trust that the place is as easy to get to as they make it sound.

The singers were really strong and their voices carried through the space beautifully. Compared with other groups I’ve heard, they sounded more polished and confident, and the sound felt fuller without getting overpowering. Overall, a really enjoyable experience.

I don’t know if it was where I was sitting or just the room itself, but I could barely hear anything. The acoustics were bad, and after a while I just got annoyed because... yeah, it was hard to enjoy it.

The show itself was good , but the seating made the whole night uncomfortable . Everything felt really cramped , and my knees were pressed up the entire time . It also got way too warm inside , and getting in and out of the row was a hassle . For what the tickets cost , I expected a lot better . I left with a sore back and felt disappointed .

I’ve been to Seattle Opera a few times and they definitely put on good productions. I still check the season when it comes out, although it sometimes feels like extra work trying to find something that doesn’t seem like the same safe classic choices again. I wish they’d throw in more newer or unusual operas once in a while. It’s still worth going, but I don’t always feel that excited about the lineup.

Once I got there, the signs were confusing and staff kept pointing people toward different lines. It kind of felt like they were trying to keep everyone moving without really admitting that nobody had a clear plan, which just made the waiting around more frustrating.

The performance itself might be totally fine, but the process of actually getting inside was messy and stressful. For the price, I expected things to feel a lot smoother and more professional.

I’ll admit I’m a bit picky when it comes to staging, so maybe that colored my reaction, but this felt hit or miss to me. Some scenes were really lovely to look at, and I appreciated the visual effort. That said, the direction felt kind of uneven, and a few choices pulled my attention away from the singing, which is usually what I care about most. I didn’t think it was bad, just not something I’d rave about...

The ticket prices felt way too high for just regular seats. I wasn’t expecting a bargain or anything, but it still felt steep for what we got.

I was able to follow along well because the captions were available, and that definitely made the experience easier. The part that threw me off was the seating information—it wasn’t as clear as I expected, so I had to spend extra time figuring out what would work. Overall, accessibility was decent, but a little more straightforward guidance would make a big difference.

Thinking back on it, I really don’t feel like the tickets were worth the price. From what I remember, there just wasn’t enough included or happening to justify spending that much

I was disappointed because my view was blocked for most of the show, so I really couldn’t see much of what was happening.

I went to a show through seattleopera.org and, i was expecting a bit more. The venue itself looked great and the stage setup was nice, but the performance just felt uneven. I know the website makes everything sound super polished and world-class, but sitting there, it didn’t quite match that description for me.
There were definitely a few singers who stood out, and I don’t want to take away from that. But some of the others didn’t really carry their scenes, and a few moments felt strangely flat. From where I was sitting, the sound was also kind of muddy, which made it harder to get pulled into the whole thing.

It wasn’t a terrible night or anything, and I’m glad I went once. But for what the tickets cost, I left feeling disappointed. Maybe it was just an off night, but I’d be cautious about buying again based only on the slick descriptions and marketing

As soon as it started, the lines got long and it wasn’t really clear where anyone was supposed to stand, so people were just sort of bunching up wherever. It felt like there should’ve been a better system, or at least someone directing people, because... yeah.

The concessions were also more expensive than I expected and moved really slowly for what it was. By the time I finally got a drink, intermission was basically over, so I had to hurry back to my seat. Not the worst night or anything, but that part definitely made the whole experience less enjoyable.
